Privacy and local storage
I’m DM Daniel, the maker behind Masterful Dungeons. This page explains how the current website uses browser storage and external services, and how to contact me about your information.

Shopping and order information
The shop is not open for orders. The public site does not currently collect delivery addresses or payments. I’ll update this notice before ordering becomes available.
What stays in your browser
The site uses browser local or session storage for preferences such as currency and delivery country, Builder layouts and dismissed Builder invitations. Clearing your browser’s site data removes those local preferences and saved layouts.
Contact messages
The contact form stores the details and message you submit in WordPress and sends the message through my email service so I can reply. Do not include information you do not want me to receive.
Cookies and privacy choices
I use Complianz to ask permission before optional statistics and session recording start. Select Accept optional, Reject optional, or Preferences. You can change or withdraw your choice using Cookie settings in the footer. Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent signup, contact messages or using the Builder.
Complianz stores your choice in cookies beginning with cmplz_ for up to 180 days. WP Consent API shares that choice with compatible site features using cookies beginning with wp_consent_, normally for 30 days. These consent records are necessary to remember and apply your choice. A policy change may ask you to choose again.
Optional statistics and session recordings
With statistics consent, I use WP Statistics to measure visits and Microsoft Clarity to understand interactions such as clicks, scrolling and session recordings. Clarity connects to Microsoft and may process browser, device, network and interaction information. After a successful edit in either Builder demo, I also send a Builder tried event to Clarity if you have accepted statistics. Separate mini and full demo events help me count unique browsers that tried each preview. These events contain no layout, email address or custom visitor identifier. Its first-party cookies include _clck, which remembers a browser identifier and preferences, and _clsk, which groups page views into a recording. Microsoft may also use cookies on its own domains. See Microsoft’s current cookie details and Microsoft’s privacy statement.
I do not load Clarity or the WP Statistics browser tracker before you accept statistics. Signup and contact form pages do not load Clarity; their embedded areas are also marked for masking. Withdrawing statistics consent stops the trackers on a fresh page load. WP Statistics remains hosted in my WordPress installation with IP anonymization and hashing enabled.
Advanced Builder recordings
With statistics consent, I also use PostHog to record the advanced Dungeon Builder so I can see where people struggle. Recordings can show the dungeon canvas, cursor movements, dragging, clicks and changes to the build. This applies only to the advanced Builder embedded on the Builder page, not the small homepage preview, signup or contact forms. Rejecting statistics keeps this recording off.
Recordings are sent to my PostHog project hosted in the European Union and kept for 30 days. The integration uses a temporary anonymous session identity, does not identify you by email or account, and disables IP enrichment, automatic analytics clicks, console logs and network request capture. Your browser still connects to PostHog to deliver recordings. Canvas content is recorded as images, so avoid putting private information into a build. You can stop future recording by withdrawing statistics consent using Cookie settings. See PostHog’s privacy notice.
Hosting and anti-spam
Hosting and security logs may record request details such as IP addresses and browser information. Signup and contact forms use Fluent Forms’ native honeypot spam protection. These forms do not load Google reCAPTCHA. My service providers process the information needed to host the website, protect the forms and deliver email.
Embedded and external services
Google Fonts may be requested when pages load. Product images and some videos may load from external hosts. Clicking YouTube, TikTok, Patreon, Ko-fi, PayPal, Printables or other external links opens their services, which have their own privacy notices.
Your requests
Use the email contact above to ask about your personal information, corrections or deletion. Some records may need to be retained to meet accounting or legal obligations.
Updates signup
When you sign up, I store your email address, consent, signup time and submission details, including your IP address, in the WordPress database hosted by Simply. Fluent Forms records the submission and FluentCRM manages your subscription. I send a confirmation link through my Simply email service. Your address stays pending until you confirm it. I use confirmed addresses for updates about my tiles and Dungeon Builder. You can ask me to unsubscribe you, correct your details or remove your information using the contact option above. I may need to keep limited consent or suppression records to document your choice and avoid sending unwanted email. No release campaign is sent just because you sign up.
